STEVIA – SWEET AND SAFE

The possibility of Aspartame toxicity is very real, hence I am presenting information on STEVIA, the ideal herbal alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners.

STEVIA can be 70 to 400 times sweeter than sugar, depending on the quality of the plant.

In its pure, unadulterated form it does not adversely affect glucose levels and may be freely used by both diabetics and hypoglycemics.

Unlike artificial sweeteners the sweet glycosides do not break down in heat which makes STEVIA safe to use in cooking and baking.

STEVIA effectively regulates blood sugar levels.   Since its introduction in the US, numerous people have reported that taking 20-30 drops with each meal brought their blood glucose levels to near normal.   Such experimentation should be done under the supervision of a qualified physician, along with daily checks on a home glucose testing machine.

Studies have shown that STEVIA tends to lower elevated blood pressure and it also inhibits the growth of some bacteria, including the bacteria that cause tooth decay and gum disease.   This explains reports of lower incidence of colds and flus amongst those who use STEVIA.

STEVIA is an excellent aid in weight-loss programs, it reduces cravings for sweet and fatty foods, hunger sensations are reduced by taking 15 drops 20 minutes prior to each meal.

Users have also reported that STEVIA decreases desire for tobacco and alcoholic beverages.

Currently STEVIA is available in liquid and a powder form which looks much like sugar.
